Heron Preston launched his namesake label in 2016. Previously to starting his label, Preston graduated from the Parsons School of Design in New York City in 2008. He has worked alongside many notable creatives including Kanye West as his art director, Virgil Abloh, Justin Saunders and Matthew Williams. Since its inception, Heron Preston has become a well-respected brand partly due to Preston’s history in the industry but also because of the brand’s ethos.
Heron Preston’s style can be described as workwear redefined. The brand merges the world of luxury and streetwear into one. The brand is committed to innovation, experimentation and unpredictability. Heron Preston is recognized by its signature color of orange and an orange brand patch can often be found on all their graphics. The signature heron birds can also be seen in many of their products as well as the word “style” written in Cyrillic. The brand features a variety of t-shirts, sweatshirts, pants and accessories.
Heron Preston has grown in popularity since its launch in 2016 and has gained attention from a variety of major brands. Notable collaborations include NASA, Nike, Off-White, and even the Department of Sanitation NYC. The Department of Sanitation NYC collaboration was an effort to shed light on the issue of sustainability in the fashion industry.
