From the streets of Oakland, California, Tony! Toni! Toné! is born. Dwayne Wiggins, his brother Raphael Saadiq, and their cousin Timothy Christian Riley make up the group and were dominant during the late 80's all the way up to the mid 90's. Their debut albums consists of Who? in 1988, Revival in 1990 and Sons of Soul in 1993 which brought them their most commercial success. After their final studio album House of Music, Saadiq left the group to pursue his own solo work as well as being the founder of RNB group Lucy pearl. Raphael Saadiq also released a number of solo albums which were nominated fro Grammy's. D'wayne Wiggins became the band leader for the Weekends at the D.L. television show hosted by comedian D. L. Hughley. Timothy Riley remained silent through the other group members success. Although the group have disbanded, their singles such as "Feels Good" and "Lay Your Head On My Pillow" will forever remain as musical classics.
