Fashion designer, Yuta Hosokawa quickly developed a love for fashion right after graduating from Osaka Mode Gakuen vocational school in Osaka, Japan. He began his career with fashion brand S’exprimer and mastered his trade within their menswear line. Hosokawa’s knowledge and time with S’exprimer lead to the creation of ReadyMade in 2013. The brand gained traction instantly as renowned Japanese figures including Edison Chen and Motofumi Kogi were incredibly taken by the label’s ethos and hermitage. Yuta Hosokawa took the fashion industry by storm as he introduced upcycled styles upon garments, accessories, lifestyle items, and home goods.

Yuta scavenged the world to find the largest quantity and quality of deadstock and realized his venture would lead him to the US as he found a large supply of military surplus wear. This is where we developed the Japanese brand ethos and started reworking old military equipment including old tents and uniforms. He would then craft every item by hand which would take a lot of work but ultimately put him on the map. Each item would then be detailed and stitched by hand, making every product unique from all others. His items were in high demand and anticipated by many as it would take upwards of a few months to create the different styles. But this work ethic was incredibly appreciated by many as Hosokawa poured his time into creating distinct and sustainable designs.

His artistic portfolio would grow in popularity across the globe, landing him projects with renowned names such as Fear of God and Just Don. Most recently he has teamed up with artist Cali Thornhill Dewitt to introduce their latest apparel line titled Saint Michael. To learn more about the fashion label, click here. But most recently, Hosokawa debuted his Spring 2021 collection which took cues from the label’s heritage but with a twist. Utilizing upcycled bandanas, the delivery includes vibrant elements upon ready-to-wear, accessories, and statement styles.

Known for their handbags and travel luggage, ReadyMade introduces a whimsical side to the traditional pieces with colorful bandanas and tonal stitching. The Monster Bag plays on more luxurious designs with a vintage aesthetic as reworked fabrics are fitted for the bag. Silver hardware contrasts the bold colorings while an adjustable strap can be changed to your desired style. Functional qualities are seen along the inner as woven pockets can secure your items during times of wear. Similar styles are translated over to other pieces including the Belt Bag and Chain Bag. The Belt Bag highlights embroidered branding while the Chain Bag eludes a more leegant touch. Give your next outfit a bold finish with the multi-colored construction of each accessory. Many pieces from ReadyMade's previous collection highlight similar patterns as seen with its iconic Frog Man.

Similar cues are translated over to the apparel as seen with the ReadyMade Trouser and Easy Short in Multi-Bandana. Its sustainable approach is emphasized as every piece is constructed and stitched by hand in Japan. The inner label is detailed with handwritten information and vintage textiles. The Trousers are made with a comfortable button closure while the shorts are finished with an adjustable belt. If you desire more of a casual aesthetic, the collection also contains ready-to-wear staples including a hoodie and graphic tees.  The collapsed Face Hoodie and Tee introduce a combination of printed and embroidered branding that highlights Hosokawa’s eccentric and contemporary style. Pair the apparel with ReadyMade’s 3 Pack Crew Socks in either white or black. Highlighting a knitted flame graphic, the socks offer optimal cushioning with their fabricated blend and ribbed stitching.
