‘Giving Fresh Air’
The Las Vegas Community
Nike’s ‘Give Fresh Air’ initiative has unified local sneaker communities around a shared passion for local change. For the second year of ‘Give Fresh Air,’ we are spotlighting four individuals residing in the Las Vegas community that embody FEATURE’s joint DNA of fashion, music, and art, all while using those skills in giving back to the community.
Originally from Chicago, artist Kendall Sudduth has a significant background in art and community outreach which he utilizes by giving back to the Las Vegas community. Committed to the act of creating, Kendall gives back to the community by helping kids create art installations for local recreation centers. He provides art supplies and assists children in expressing themselves through art. To Kendall, giving back to the community means being an example to others, which he continues to do through his art.
Adam Rellah’s art brand ‘Pretty Done’ combines giving back to the community through abstract pop artwork. Specializing in murals and paintings, Adam’s print pop-ups around Las Vegas spread the love back to the community. It's there where he prints merchandise and paints live, all while working on painting free art murals in Downtown Las Vegas to shine a light on the city. To Adam, it's crucial for him to use his talents to give back to the community, as he believes his art brings a sense of positivity to Las Vegas.
Local entrepreneur Dustin Tappan and friend DJ Buza established the Christmas Angels Toy Drive in honor of Dustin’s late father and his daughter to give back to children in the community. The duo felt a calling to do something positive within Las Vegas, and both Dustin and DJ Buza has received thousands of dollars and toys to give back to local children. DJ Buza has utilized his connections through his career to spreading the word about Christmas Angels Toy Drive, which continues to spread good within the Las Vegas valley.
