The iconic reputation and longevity of the Carhartt brand began in the late 1800s by Hamilton Carhartt in Detroit, Michigan. Hamilton was considered an independent thinker and creator who embodied a dedication to crafting enduring workwear apparel to protect and serve hardworking people. Carhartt WIP’s origin began in 1989, almost 100 years after the brand’s initial debut. The ‘Work in Progress’ approach focuses on the Carhartt brand’s contemporary way of living. Tailored to meet the highest standards of quality, durability, and comfort, the brand emphasizes the brand’s core values for a different audience which values refined design and quality. 

Carhartt WIP’s fall delivery incorporates a variety of seasonally appropriate apparel such as fleece jackets, pants, hooded jackets, and hoodies. The fall collection features a familiar Carhartt taste with its streamlined wearable workwear selections. A functional yet modern approach to apparel distinguishes itself from the traditional Carhartt brand. Moody, contemporary, and classic tones are sprinkled throughout each item. New camouflage prints and hard-wearing textile-like corduroy, wool, and flannel materials are used. Autumn and outdoor influences, as well as the general nature aesthetic, inspire the collection.

The first introduction of the brand’s fall collection pays homage to the brand’s hometown roots of Detroit, Michigan. The OG Detroit Jacket is crafted from Carhartt WIP’s 12ox organic cotton Dearborn Canvas. Made for a loose and boxy fit, the silhouette embodies authentic workwear feel while incorporating modern elements such as the diamond quilted lining, corduroy collar, and signature weaved Carhartt WIP logo at the top left pocket. Stripe stitching is placed for enhanced durability. The Aviation Pant is a top choice to pair with the jacket, as its slim cargo pant construction is made from a lightweight cotton ripstop fabric. Rinsed for added comfort, the silhouette is durable in its finish. Multiple pockets are placed throughout the legs, while a woven Carhartt WIP label at the right leg completes the design.

Carhartt WIP has mastered the art of elevating everyday apparel, as seen in the Carhartt WIP Sid Pant. Featuring a blended cotton and polyester stretch twill fabric that allows for a comfortable yet breathable experience, the chino pants are made for a slim cut, providing a detailed component to the design. Two side pockets are placed for functionality, while bartack stitching at stress points enhances the pants’ durability. A stitched Carhartt ‘C’ label and two reverse pockets finish the silhouette, making the pants perfect for everyday wear. The Carhartt WIP University T-Shirt pairs seamlessly with the streamlined design of the pants, as its cotton single jersey construction further enhances the outfit’s commitment to durability and comfort. A signature collegiate-inspired graphic print laid at the silhouette’s chest highlights the shirt, offering a contemporary approach to the everyday graphic tee.
