Rassvet has taken the Russian fashion scene by storm as it highlights designs and mantras for young rebels growing up in a post-soviet society. Fashion designer and Comme des Garcon alumn, Gosha Rubchinskiy, wanted to create a brand that spoke to the youthful generation while revitalizing classic garments for today’s trends. Gosha started Rassvet with pro-skater Tolia Titaev to get a better understanding of skate culture; which is the label’s main passion. The brand is actually known as Paccbet but in English, it is translated as Rassvet. The name is defined as ‘dawn’ or ‘sunrise’ which describes how Gosha wanted to represent the brand by shining light on stereotypical Russian culture and highlighting its beauty.  Since 2016, the label has showcased retro designs on elevated ready-to-wear pieces.

Introduced to the world during Men’s Paris Fashion Week in 2020, the Spring/Summer collection reverts to its original ethos with styles reminiscent of the skate culture with Russian nods. But the collection also showcases a retro aesthetic that combines vintage athletics with 80s Western skate designs. Gosha is reminded of his childhood within this collection as he saw the influence of California skate culture making its way into Russian fashion. This will be the 8th collection for the newly developed brand as it primarily focuses on the vintage Americana with hints of Russian detailing.

Within the collection we are introduced to new graphics as seen on the Grafitti Tee. The tee can be seen in varying colors highlighting the graphic. But the Grafitti artistry also makes its way onto hoodies and hats. The hoodie and tee both utilize premium cotton fabrication within their design; while featured attributes include adjustable drawstrings and a kangaroo pocket within the hoodie and ribbed finishings seen at the collar of the tees. Another major graphic highlighted within the collection is the Infinity. This motif completely embodies throwback skate styles as it resembles retro American aesthetics. Coinciding with the Graffiti graphic, the Infinity artwork can be purchased on varying colored tees and a hoodie. Its quality craftsmanship provides an elevated fit that redefines skate and apparel.

Rassvet also showcases its 70s Logo Trackpant silhouette in the latest delivery. Constructed with a cotton and polyester blend, the pants are made for a casual setting while a tapered fit gives the vintage style a modern finish. The leg cuffs can be adjusted as a zipper closure can be tailored to your desired fit. Signature branding is featured in Russian script combining the fashion labels roots within the pant’s design. The collection elevates casual ready-to-wear pieces with unique symbolism and premium fabrication.
