Nike Dunk Hi 'Pure Platinum' Release 11/13

Nike Dunk Hi 'Pure Platinum' Release 11/13

Ernie Salvatera

The Nike Dunk High was originally released in 1985. The shoe made its debut in the form of Nike’s college basketball campaign labeled, “Be True To Your School.” The colorways debut were associated with universities such as UNLV, Kentucky, and Michigan, and were seen as Nike's first team shoe. As the shoe aged, the Nike Dunk would see different iterations of materials, colors, and trims. Fast-forward to 2020. The Nike Dunk is taking over sneaker culture once again.

A clean colorway emerges in the form of the Nike Dunk Hi SP in White/Pure Platinum. The shoe’s White, all-leather upper becomes radiant as it contrasts with sophisticated Pure Platinum accents. The high trim’s signature ‘wings’ are always one of the Dunk Hi’s noticeable traits. Easily one of the cleanest colorways to-date, this colorway should be on any collector’s radar.
