RHUDE, the LA-based fashion company, was founded in 2015 by Rhuigi Villaseñor. The contemporary menswear brand is known for recreating wardrobe classics with a modern twist, using premium textiles and cut-and-sew construction. The concept of RHUDE came from Villaseñor personal experience growing up in the Philippines and moving to Southern California at an early age; and also is a reflection of modern socioeconomic status. Villaseñor passion for fashion started at an early age in the Philippines inspired by his parents. His father had a niche for fashion and his mother taught him to sew and to be creative with clothes and designing. After moving to Los Angeles and graduating from high school, Villaseñor decided to pursue his own career in the fashion industry and started to develop meaningful relationships by taking on internships to develop his skills.

Villaseñor set out in 2013 to create a brand on his own and create a brand that was timeless. He soon started gaining traction from a variety of high-profile artists including Kendrick Lamar when he wore a RHUDE bandana shirt at the BET Music Awards. Since then, Villaseñor has developed a multitude of collections and has expanded into eyewear and women’s fashion. He also has gained traction from other brands to create meaningful collaborations, including the latest PUMA x RHUDE collaboration in early 2020. 

Every season RHUDE continues to combine nostalgic references of old Western times with American iconography. For the Spring and Summer 2020 collection, RHUDE focuses on mixing classic streetwear style with luxury elements to create a dynamic everyday wear collection. RHUDE’s SS20 collection continues a variety of apparel and accessories from Western-inspired t-shirts with boxy silhouettes, track pants, hightop sneakers, shorts and sunglasses. The silhouettes feature bold prints and lush patterns while portraying a worn-in detailed look.
