Summer Sneaker Essentials

First established by brothers Paul Van Doren and Jim Van Doren in 1966 in Southern California, Vans was initially named “The Van Doren Rubber Company.” After later shortened to just “Vans,” the footwear brand is inspired by West Coast skate culture and the overall skateboarding lifestyle. Skateboarders began taking notice of the brand in the ‘70s. They liked the sticky rubber outsole that was perfect for skating, along with the minimalism of the sneaker’s construction. Some of these skateboarding legends include Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta. Vans officially launched “Vault by Vans” in 2003. The sublabel was established to continue offering classic Vans styles paired with unique collections and colorways inspired by contemporary street culture, art, music, surf, and skate culture. This premium selection of Vans sneakers has pulled from over 40 years of classic Vans designs and silhouettes, including the iconic OG Authentic LX, OG Classic Slip-On, OG Old Skool LX, OG Sk8-Hi LX, and more. In addition to its vast silhouette repertoire, Vault by Vans has also collaborated with artists such as Geoff McFetridge, Nigel Cabourn, Cali Dewitt, Javier Calleja, and Sarah Andelman. Its notable brand collaborations include Taka Hayashi, Wacko Maria, and Dover Street Market,.

The Vans Vault OG Authentic LX ‘Citrus' is a must-have sneaker. The lace-up front features a canvas upper paired and an all-over floral print pattern. A Vans Vault flag woven label resides at the seams. The Ortholite footbed is placed for added comfort, while the foam-cushioned midsole contributes to that comfortable concept. A rubber label resides at the rear heel. The gum rubber waffle outsole underneath offers optimal traction and durability. Another must-have sneaker featured in the Vans Vault delivery is the Vans OG Sk8-Hi Reissue LX. The silhouette is composed of a blend of canvas and suede within the upper and includes floral all-over printed graphics. Vans branding resides throughout the design and the padded ankle collar and leather lining. The foam-cushioned midsole and gum rubber waffle outsole complete the silhouette.

Perfect for the upcoming summer season, the Vans Vault OG Authentic LX Dip Dye makes a statement within any sneaker collection. The premium design features a classic canvas upper paired with a lace-up front. Vans branding resides at the woven side seam label and the rear rubber label. The vulcanized midsole is streamlined to the gum rubber waffle outsole. The ‘dip-dye’ aesthetic makes a bold statement for a finished look. A final stand-out footwear offering featured in the skate footwear brand’s delivery is the Vans Vault OG Old Skool LX Snake Eyes. Distinct in its aesthetic, the silhouette spotlights a canvas upper with additional suede detailing that makes an appearance at the toe box, heel, and laces. Contrast stitching appears throughout the exterior. Stitched stripes and dice graphics make an additional statement, while Vans branding is seen on the woven label and heel. A padded tongue collar is placed for comfortable aesthetics. The iconic gum rubber waffle outsole and the vulcanized midsole finish the rest of the design.
