Being only nine years of age, the upcoming sneaker company Nike set out to produced quality sports shoes: first, they started with running and now basketball. The Nike Blazer appeared in their repertoire as the latest and best in basketball shoes in 1973. As time slowly evolved, the shoe’s original origins started to become absolute with newer technology but in 2004, it was then popularized within skateboard culture. Because of this change, the shoe was given even more of a reputation. The shoe was diverse and given redesigns along with better technology. The Nike Blazer is now a staple within Nike’s handbook as it became loved by all sneaker enthusiasts. Brands from Supreme to Commes Des Garcon have all had their take on the famous high top. 

The latest take on the Blazer is given a vintage design along with monochromatic colors and varying textured materials. The tumbled leather upper is met with electric green stitching breaking the monochromatic look without taking over. The subtleness of the green compliments the grey's and blacks throughout the piece. Matching wool textures can be found within the famous “Swoosh” and the padded tongue creating a cohesive look. As well as the “Smoke Grey,” Nike features a white version of the model. We can find the same wool-like material within both designs complimenting the iconic Swoosh and tongue. The upper is encased with a pure white leather and accents of suede is featured in a “Light Smoke Grey” color-way.
