Coined in 1988, Sticky FIngaz, Fredro Starr, Sonsee, and Big DS formed Onyx. Releasing their first single, "Ah, And We Do It Like This", in 1990 their rise to fame began shortly after. After signing a deal with Def Jam Records they released their debut album, Bacdafucup. After creating some commercial success, Big DS left the group due to minimal exposure on the mic. Big DS then released a solo album. In 1995, the NYC rap group released their second album entitled, All We Got Iz Us which was named the best produced rap album of 1995. After years of minimal activity, the group reunited for the first time in years this past August and performed at the 13th Annual Gathering of the Juggalos followed by a release of a new album entitled, "Cold Case Files: Vol. 2".
