Feature'd Brand: PLAY Comme des Garçons
4
Curated by Rei Kawakubo and graphic designer Filip Pagowski, PLAY Comme des Garçons is a sub category to the world renowned Japanese fashion house. Initally, CDG was targeted for women clientele but was later opened up to men in 1978. Meaning "Like The Boys", PLAY shares a more street wear-esque style and graphic oriented nature which includes their classic heart logo. Comme des Garcons has become a multi cultural label that has been seen on a plethora of famous individuals.
All designs are born in Aoyama, Japan and are manufactured in Japan, France, Spain and Turkey. As a brand grows, product selection increases and CDG has now releases full collections for men and women, fragrances, sneakers, jewelry, and have collaborated with many fashion designers in the industry.
As fashion transforms and goes through many trends, PLAY Comme des Garçons implements timeless aesthetics into their garments creating a life long label. As Rei Kawakubo would say, "The only thing important to me is making clothes". So be sure to check out our collection here at Feature as well as future releases from PLAY Comme des Garçons.
