Stemming back to 2018, our ongoing collaboration with UNLV is deeply rooted in Las Vegas culture, community, and heritage. Over the years, our collaboration with UNLV has been centered around the 1990 NCAA Championship-winning basketball team, the Runnin’ Rebels. But since then, the partnership between FEATURE and UNLV has transformed into collaborations incorporating the UNLV community and its students. Keep reading to learn more about the FEATURE x UNLV Fall ‘23 collection and UNLV students Sarah, Dom, and Nick.

SARAH

Senior, Psychology

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Sarah is an incoming senior at UNLV majoring in Psychology. She didn’t expect to get so involved at UNLV during the start of her college experience but can look back and examine her many accomplishments as a student. “Right now, I currently run UNLV’s social media. I’m also currently involved with Psychology organizations on-campus like Psychology Club and the Psi Chi Honor Society,” she says. Sarah also serves as the education publishing company Pearson’s UNLV Student Ambassador. When asked how the UNLV community has impacted her life, she credits the number of opportunities the university provides. “We also have such a supportive community. It’s really wonderful, how the people here are always so encouraging.” Sarah is wearing our new FEATURE x UNLV Common Unity Tee, available in Cannoli Cream and Black.

DOM

Senior, Journalism and Media Studies - Focus in Sports Media

The second student we’re spotlighting is a first-generation college student Dom, who is going into his senior year at UNLV. He’s majoring in Journalism and Media Studies with a focus in Sports Media. Dom is involved in UNLV by being the President of the Rebel Report, a student-run sports broadcast and social media organization. He also is responsible for UNLV Rebel Hockey’s play-by-play. When he graduated from high school and entered college, Dom was put into a new environment and introduced to many different career paths. He credits UNLV for these opportunities and his friends, specifically through Greek Life. “I never would have thought I’d be this comfortable socially, but UNLV has really turned me into that social butterfly kind of person,” says Dom. NICK

Senior, Finance

The final UNLV student spotlight ends with Nick, an incoming senior majoring in Finance at UNLV’s Lee Business School. Nick is part of the UNLV Rebel Hockey team and has goals of playing hockey professionally one day. When asked how the UNLV community has impacted him, he said, “UNLV has introduced me to lifelong friends, and it’s given me the opportunity to play a sport I love and meet some great people while doing it.” Nick is wearing our new FEATURE x UNLV Raffiti Tee.
