Introduced back in 2017, Josue Thomas is the mind behind the iconic brand Gallery Dept. Josue Thomas was never professionally trained in fashion or garment making. Still, he does credit his natural skills to his immigrant parents, who had worked to build a life in Los Angeles, California. Josue Thomas’ journey began with working in clothing stores in his early 20s, and then he began experimenting with cutting jeans, screen-printing t-shirts, and repurposing garments. The official Gallery Dept. brand came to fruition in 2017 and references none other than actual gallery art departments. The label has grown from simply an underground collector label to a full-fledged easily-identifiable streetwear label worn by countless worldwide.

With that, Gallery Dept.’s latest delivery spotlights an array of premium apparel that makes an impression on any wardrobe. In addition to clothing, the collection also includes headwear that is ideal for the upcoming warmer months. One stand-out apparel item is the Gallery Dept. Musique Crew Neck. The silhouette is made of cotton and utilizes ribbed branding at the neckline, cuffs, and hem. A signature woven label resides at the left sleeve cuff. Embroidered branding lives at the front, with additional embroidered imagery and phrasing. As for stand-out pants, the Gallery Dept. Recycled Denim Logan is not only eye-catching but a signature piece for any denim rotation. Crafted from recycled denim, the design is created from old pieces of denim apparel. A leather branded patch can be found at the waistband, while the belt loops and zip fly offer a functional touch. 

On the graphic tee front, Gallery Dept. continues introducing refreshing designs as seen in the Gallery Dept. Dead Batteries Tee. Featuring a cotton construction, the silhouette utilizes a crew neckline that is treated with subtle distressing. Screen-printed vintage-inspired graphics reside at the front, while similar imagery can be found at the rear. Glitter-printed branding at the back wraps up the remainder of the silhouette. Additionally, Gallery Dept.’s headwear offerings include the Rodman Velvet Bucket Hat. Featuring a velvet knit upper, the hat consists of a flat top and a pull-on style. A logo tag resides at the sides while stitching along the brim completes the rest of the design.
