This Week's Footwear Releases

Haven Neiman

The middle of October is here, and this month has shown us various footwear and apparel releases from a selection of iconic and premium brands. Additionally, many brand collaborations have made this month even more impressionable in the current sneaker industry. This week’s release lineup includes premium shoes and apparel from brands like Converse, Nike, New Balance x Joe Freshgoods, Adidas Originals, and Air Jordan. Keep reading to discover what releases you could win this week.

Converse x Come Tees Chuck Taylor 70 Hi

Sonya Sombreuil’s Los Angeles-based label Come Tees reconnects with Converse in this footwear and apparel collection. The sneaker spotlights a bright cotton upper that is treated with printed text that nods to the collaboration. Signature branding elements are seen. As for apparel, an all-over cosmic-inspired print resides on a crewneck, fleece pants, overalls, and t-shirt.

Nike Air Trainer 1 Mid ‘Ale Brown’

This year marks the 35th anniversary of the Air Trainer 1s introduction to the sneaker world by Nike. Arriving this fall in a refreshed take, the Nike Air Trainer 1 Mid recently displays an ‘Ale Brown’ colorway. Suede overlays collide with the leather upper, while the strap unit references the rich history of the design. Embroidered detailing is placed throughout for a finished look.

Nike Air More Uptempo ‘Limestone’

Often associated with the legendary Scottie Pippen, Nike’s Air More Uptempo no longer appears on the courts of professional basketball games, but the silhouette has made an even bigger impression. This season’s latest colorway of the design spotlights leather and mesh, while the bold ‘AIR’ lettering at the profile spotlights a suede trim along with a hairy material.

New Balance x Joe Fresh Goods Women's 993 'Arctic Blue'

New Balance’s ongoing relationship with Chicago native Joe Freshgoods is nothing short of iconic. The collaboration has provided an array of fresh looks and now introduces a new 993 iteration. This mixed material upper incorporates mesh with suede at the overlays. An array of ‘Arctic Blue’ shades are seen in addition to New Balance Made in USA branding.

Adidas Yeezy 450 ‘Stone Flax’

The Adidas Yeezy 450 silhouette takes on a unique design language in its aesthetic. The silhouette’s latest release features a signature Primeknit upper paired with the traditional sock-like construction and PU-injected midsole.

Air Jordan x Titan 2 Low Women’s

The Philippines-based sneaker boutique Titan welcomes another collaboration with Jordan Brand. The collaboration includes a selection of apparel and a premium sneaker.  Presented on a playful and tropically-designed Air Jordan 2 Low, the silhouette features a premium blend of materials along with bold contrasting details and a speckled midsole.

Air Jordan 7 Retro SE 'Vachetta Tan’

Inspired by the popular music of West Africa, the Air Jordan 7 Retro SE ‘Vachetta Tan’ also honors the 30th anniversary of the iconic silhouette. Arriving in men's and grade school sizing, the sneaker spotlights a geometric print on the Huarache-like inner sleeve and tongue. The Air-assisted polyurethane midsole is treated with a black finish along with purple and gold accenting.
