Brought to fruition by Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist Cali Thornhill Dewitt and READYMADE designer Yuta Hosokawa, Saint Michael is the collaborative brainchild that takes on all things vintage. Saint Michael is well-versed in its distinct processing of cotton and sewn finishings. This is done by the use of unique sewing machines that implement special printing durable yet vintage methods over time, maintaining optimal quality for everyday wear.  Saint Michael specializes in hand-painted and evocative methods while often intertwining religious-inspired products printed on premium vintage apparel silhouettes like t-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, and more. Prior to colliding with Dewitt on Saint Michael, Yuta Hosokawa’s impact on the Japanese label READYMADE was nothing short of substantial. The two designers first joined forces on a successful READYMADE collection, eventually growing into its own fashion entity, which we now know as Saint Michael.

Saint Michael’s latest delivery includes the Saint Michael Saint Angel Crew Sweater. Ideal for the soon-to-come transitional weather, this everyday statement piece utilizes a vintage cotton construction. Ribbed detailing can be seen at the neckline, cuffs, and hem. At the front of the silhouette is screen-printed Saint Michael branding with an angel graphic. Alongside the crew sweater is another apparel item, the Saint Michael x Vlone Bone Knit. This design is made in collaboration with Vlone, a streetwear brand founded in 2014 by A$AP Bari and A$AP Rocky. Best known for its bold graphic designs, Vlone’s aesthetic heavily references dark and punk rock cultures that often utilize eye-catching graphics and text. The sweater is cut from a premium wool blend, utilizing uneven and distressed trims. Stitched collaborative branding can be seen at the front, with additional bone-inspired stitched graphics making an impression at the front, sleeves, and rear for a finishing touch.

In addition to the brand’s signature apparel arrivals, Saint Michael also introduces a new headwear arrival: the Saint Michael Corduroy Cap. This must-have headwear item from the brash streetwear label takes on a cotton corduroy construction. A slightly curved brim is placed, while the embroidered branding and phrasing at the face make an impression. An adjustable rear closure secures the remainder of the design. With that, a final stand-out offering from Saint Michael’s new collection is the Saint Michael x Born x Raised Clown Knit. Saint Michael joins forces with the Los Angeles-based streetwear brand that is inspired by various subcultures such as punk, surf, and skate culture. The sweater utilizes a wool blend, while the rib-knit detailing can be found at the trims, providing additional dimension. The stitched clown graphics at the front spotlight the rest of the design.
