Grand Puba, Sadat X, and Lord Jamar made up the hip hop trio, Brand Nubian. The New York natives were pioneers to the hip hop scene in the 1990's with their successfully acclaimed studio album, One For All. Though the group created a short buzz in the scene, two of the members developed problems with Grand Puba causing him to leave. In 1997, the original members reunited creating another studio album entitled, Foundation which featured hit producers such as DJ Premier, Buckwild, Lord Finesse, and Diamond D. In the early 2000's Grand Puba and Sadat X left the group to pursue solo careers while Lord Jamar pursued acting and landed cameos in the TV series such as,"The Sopranos", "Law and Order" and "Oz". Although we have not heard any new material from the hip hop gurus, it would be dope to see new projects in the works.
