First established in 1994 by motorcycle enthusiast Shinsuke Takizawa, Neighborhood is defined as a premium Japanese streetwear label. The label is also referred to as NBHD and is heavily influenced by Western aesthetics along with biker gang culture and London’s punk scenes. Takizawa had noticed the current climate of the fashion industry and realized the lack of streetwear apparel was offered. Neighborhood’s mission is to ‘Craft with Pride,’ and the label draws inspiration from motorcycle, punk, and military cultures. The brand often utilizes bandana prints and premium grunge aesthetics.

Inspired by an outdoor escape, Neighborhood’s latest delivery is a must-have for any streetwear apparel enthusiast. The collection includes jackets, shirts, t-shirts, shorts, and even a selection of headwear that makes an impression. Alongside apparel and headwear are additional stand-out items such as collars, leashes, and an incense chamber. The Neighborhood CE Eagle Incense Chamber makes an impression in any living space. The design is composed entirely of ceramic and incorporates gold detailing at the beak for added dimension. It is inspired by post-WWII Japanese ceramic exports, and the engraved branding makes an impressionable finish. Alongside the chamber is the Neighborhood Dad EC Cap. Available in Black, Grey, and Navy, the hat features a blend of cotton and polyester and sports embroidered branding at the front for added detailing.

'Craft with Pride'

A stand-out outerwear apparel item from Neighborhood’s Fall/Winter ‘22 collection is the BB JK NY Jacket. Composed of nylon, the design features a press-stud placket closure that offers a secure fit. Front welt pockets are also placed for a functional touch. Made for a loose fit, the design spotlights a signature baseball collar with additional striped detailing seen at the ribbed trims. Applique branding makes a bold statement at the front. A woven brand label near the hem wraps up the remainder of the design. Along with the jacket is the Neighborhood NH1 S/S CO Tee. Cut from cotton, the premium tee features a crew neckline for added detail. Screen-printed Neighborhood branding makes an impression on the chest. Perfect for everyday wear or an elevated look, the On / C-Shirt S/S spotlights a spread collar paired with all-over screen-printed graphics.
