Casablanca and New Balance’s ongoing partnership prevail as they introduce their latest sneaker design that uses familiar cues. Casablanca is well known for its pastel palettes and bold prints. Taking inspiration from sunsets and summer vacations, French-Moroccan designer Charag Tajer embodies a sense of opulence with each collection. This unique theme is transferred over to New Balance’s signature trainers, making it the perfect blend of athletics and elegance. Known for their work with the 327 and 237, the duo revisits the sneakers with bolder palettes compared to their typical monochromatic hues. 

Both of the sneakers draw emphasis on Casablanca’s monogram patterns throughout the overlays which decorate the leather base. Initially seen within Casablanca’s Autumn/Winter 2020 collection, the pattern has become a focal point within many of their sneaker designs. The most recent palette includes bold and rich hues of green and red, which are complemented by off-white suede patches seen at the eyelets. Each sneaker is designed with perforated details throughout which contributes to its breathability while its cushioned midsole elevates comfort during times of wear. 

At first sight, the sneakers look incredibly similar but when you take a closer look at the toe box and heel, there are notable differences. The 327 is met with a more athletic outsole with an exaggerated rubber sole overlapping the heel and toe for protection. While looking at the 327’s forefoot, we also see the monogram blending into the suede eyelets. The sneaker’s come complete with co-branding printed within the inner sole and gold aglets reverting to Casablanca’s luxe aesthetic. Since their initial debut in 2020, each of their releases has been sought-after by fashion enthusiasts as the sneaker celebrates both New Balance’s and Casablanca’s roots.
