Puma Velophasis Overdye ‘White’ Available Now
Alex Kure
Puma takes inspiration from the running shoes of the 2000s with the Velophasis and its latest colorway ‘Overdye’. The model sports the nostalgic chunky silhouette but comes packed with new technology. The German sports brand developed revolutionary running mechanics such as the iCELL, e+CELL + EverRide, which enhances the runner's experience. The newest iteration ‘Overdye’ is crafted from a blue-tinted mesh, overlaid with white leather. The design has a uniquely brushed blue color effect across the entire upper and sits atop a chunky rubber sole for comfort and traction. The iconic Puma logo can be seen on the back panel. The Velophasis silhouette has dynamic overlays running throughout the design. The padded collar, mesh lining, and semi-translucent cage provide a further dimension to the sneaker. The SOFTFOAM+ technology in the midsole provides cushioning and comfort. Using contemporary materials, Puma adopted the visual codes of the 2000s with asymmetrical uppers, honeycomb-patterned mesh + textures panels.
Puma continues to innovate with the latest in sneaker technology, and the Velophasis ‘Overdye’ has unique features that compete with sneakers on the market. Aiming for performance and style, the reimagined silhouette modernizes the classic 2000s running shoe and is a staple for any wardrobe. Puma’s Velophasis ‘Overdye’ is available now.
