Founded in 2020, Saint Michael is the collaborative brainchild between the Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist Cali Thornhill Dewitt and READYMADE designer Yuta Hosokawa. Saint Michael is centered around the pursuit of all things vintage. The brand introduces the aesthetic through the distinct processing of cotton and sewn finishings. These unique sewing machines implement special printing methods that are durable yet still vintage over time. The label specializes in hand-painted and evocative methods while intertwining specific religiously-inspired products printed on premium silhouettes. Before joining alongside Cali Thornhill Dewitt, Yuta Hosokawa’s impact on the Japanese label READYMADE was notable. The brand is well-known for its use of vintage military material and anti-war messaging. The two first collided in a previous READYMADE collection, which has now spiraled into Saint Michael in its entirety.

Saint Michael continues its ongoing vintage offerings in the latest spring arrivals. This new delivery consists of a selection of apparel like hoodies, sweatpants, tops, and t-shirts. On the accessory side, the delivery also includes headwear and socks. The Saint Michael Purplelp S/S T-Shirt is a notable item featured in this collection. Composed of cotton, the design has been treated with a vintage finish for an authentic aesthetic. The crew neckline adds additional detail to the overall silhouette. Screen-printed graphics are placed at the front, intertwining with the phrase ‘SAINT TEARS.’ Screen-printed phrasing is also placed at the rear, reading an elongated quote. The silhouette is made for a comfortable oversized fit and also includes a crew neckline for added detail. Screen-printed branding and graphics are spotlighted at the front, completing the overall design. Additionally, the Saint Michael Graffiti Hoodie is a notable item featured in Saint Michael’s delivery. Composed of cotton, the design features ribbed detailing at the cuffs.
