As a staple in r&b history, the Force MDs, are known for their soft and smooth vocals. Formed in 1981, the New York formed the group L.D's at first but later transformed their name to MD which stood for musical diversity. From performing on the street corners of Staten Island to having a single placed at the top ten r&b hits. Commercially successful singles include "Tears" and "Tender Love" making them one of the best contemporary r&b artists to this day. As their shine began to a stale, tragedy struck when three of the members passed creating a halt in the group's musical advancement. In 2000, the remaining members curated an album entitled, The Reunion. With many upcoming artists today, The Force MDs will be a part of the foundation that inspires the new generation of r&b.
