Introduced to the fashion world by Rudolf, Puma is a German-based athleisure brand that is well-versed in crafting elevated athleisure apparel, accessories, footwear, and more. Puma is mainly recognized by its iconic formstrip and ‘pouncing’ Puma motif. Since its establishment in the ‘40s, Puma has grown into one of the most recognizable and iconic sportswear brands in the fashion industry, having collaborated with renowned designers and brands to bring sports influences into street culture and fashion.

Puma introduces its debut collection with the luxury French fashion house AMI. Meaning ‘friend’ in French, AMI takes inspiration from how happiness starts with the people you surround yourself with. The label’s name references its founder Alexandre Mattiussi. AMI has been blurring the boundaries between casual and chic since 2011 and heavily references community-inspired influences. Titled ‘A Family Affair,’ this Puma x AMI apparel, accessories, and footwear collection puts a modern spin on traditional streetwear. The collaboration takes on themes of friendship and family and implements an array of relaxed and straightforward designs that elevate streetwear in its entirety. Each piece spotlighted within the collection features minimalist branding and a mix of neutral and bold colors and premium materials. Bold yet refined, the delivery is a must-have for any collection.

One of the first offerings featured in the Puma x AMI ‘A Family Affair’ collection is the Crewneck Sweatshirt. Cut from a blend of recycled cotton, this premium design takes on a modern approach to streetwear with its dual embroidered branding at the chest. Ribbed detailing is seen at the cuffs and hem, finishing the remainder of the look. Women’s apparel is featured within the collection, such as the Puma x AMI Women’s Graphic Tee. Also cut from a blend of recycled cotton, the design sports a crew neckline. Modern and streamlined in its aesthetic, the double-needle stitching paired with the dual embroidered branding upon the chest makes a premium statement.

Puma’s signature Slipstream Mid is reintroduced in this collaborative take. The Puma x AMI Slipstream Mid sports a leather upper within its mid-top design, allowing for the tonal stitched branding and suede overlays to make an eye-catching appearance. The same suede overlays can be seen throughout the toe, midfoot, and heel. The design is monochromatic, allowing for an elevated and minimalist aesthetic. Zigzag stitching is placed, while the woven tongue label displays the collaboration’s signature dual Puma and AMI branding. The heel loop tab at the rear allows for easy on and off. Perforated detailing can be seen at the toe box for optimal breathability during each step. Underneath this premium footwear design is the gum rubber outsole, which provides optimal grippy traction.

The Puma x AMI Wide Knitted Pants are also included in the delivery. Made for a relaxed fit, the silhouette sports a drawcord waistband for a functional touch. The metal zip fly adds additional security, while the side pocket allows you to keep your small belongings close. Additionally, the reverse-opening back pocket emphasizes that functional approach. The design features additional pintuck detailing and embroidered detailing, complementing the overall aesthetic. Any outfit isn’t complete without the perfect accessory to keep your belongings close. The Puma x AMI Small Shoulder Bag is convenient yet elevated in its design. Composed of nylon in its shell and polyester within its lining, the functional item includes a two-way zip opening into the main compartment and secondary compartment. An adjustable and detachable shoulder strap is placed, while the embroidered Puma and AMI branding spotlight the design. The internal card holder keeps your cards protected, while additional PU detailing offers a durable finish.
