Former three-world duathlon champion and ironman winner Olivier Bernhard decided to commit himself to crafting a technologically-advanced running shoe that would give the perfect running sensation and overall change the world of the sport. After starting this venture, Bernhard contacted a like-minded Swiss engineer with an idea for a new running shoe. Bernhard’s running experience and optimal engineering expertise allowed his goal to be redefined, resulting in what we now know today as ON—the technologically-advanced sneaker brand that officially came to fruition in Zürich, Switzerland, in 2010.

ON was instilled in implementing a cushioned landing, a firm take-off, and a unique running sensation. ON’s goal was to create a silhouette that was comparable to running on a cloud. Thus, this resulted in the ON CloudTec technology, which was engineered to benefit everybody’s running experience. As proven by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, ON’s sneakers take on highly flexible soles that reduce muscle fatigue and assist in lowering heart rates. The multi-directional cushioning system activates during intense landings and reacts to specific and unique movements. ON Sneakers compress horizontally for a soft landing, making this unique running sensation focusing on the overall cushioning experience. ON’s mission is to maximize one’s running potential. With that, ON introduces its latest technologically-advanced sneaker silhouettes, such as the new Cloudsurfer.

ON’s new Cloudsurfer silhouette strays away from the typical athletic sneaker design due to its technological components and premium design. The sneaker is made from breathable mesh at the upper, while the synthetic overlays offer further dimension. A molded heel counter is placed, while the reflective detailing is at the exterior. A heel pull tab allows easy on and off, while the lightly padded tongue and collar provide additional comfort. A breathable fabric lining and molded insole are placed for built-in arch support. The signature Speedboard and high-grade EVA midsole offer lasting performance. The CloudTec cushioning and CloudTec rubber outsole wrap up the remainder of the silhouette.
