Starting their story in Zürich, Switzerland, On has become a trailblazer in footwear due to its technological advancements.  Introduced in 2010, On was created by professional athlete Olivier Bernhard. Bernhard has devoted himself to running as he has become a three-time world duathlon champion and multiple Ironman winner. But after retiring he decided to place his passions into footwear so others can experience the perfect running sensation. To bring his dreams to life, he enlisted his good friends, David Allemann and Caspar Coppetti,  and started developing the first prototypes of their trainers.

After countless mistakes and experiments, their objective was clear but making it come to life proved to be more difficult than they anticipated. Ultimately they wanted to create a sneaker with a cushioned landing and firm take-off with each step. With this in mind, they continued on perfecting their craft, and in 2012 they released their first performance shoe known as the Cloudracer. This sneaker introduced their inimitable CloudTec. Confirmed by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Cloudtec significantly lowers pulse rates and lowers blood lactate levels. This technology helps you push your limits and experience longer run times with ease. On was then popularized by many athletes as they enjoyed their experience with the sneakers. 

But the advancements didn’t stop there as the trio started to introduce more elements to their premium designs. Their Speedboard pads offer soft landings with an explosive take-off while Helion Superfoam elevates cushioning with its lightweight and durable design. The footwear label continues to learn and make more strives within the industry as they take into account their athletes. Olympic winner Nicola Spirig and Javier Gomez are enthusiasts of On’s sneaker and help improve their tech. On continually supports athletes across the globe and learns from their experiences to improve their construction.

Their Cloud line has grown in popularity over time and new variants are introduced including the Cloud X, Cloudswift, and Cloudnova. Minimalist colorways are paired with bold hues for pops of color that can stand out where ever you go. The Cloud X is a versatile design with its breathable mesh upper and sock-like design.
