Released in 1988 as part of Nike’s iconic ‘Air Force’ line, the Nike Air Alpha Force sneaker has a notable history in basketball footwear. The sneaker became synonymous with primarily the legendary NBA player Charles Barkley, although Michael Jordan was seen wearing them while he was with the Chicago Bulls in 1988. The Nike Air Alpha Force gained immediate popularity for its innovative use of Nike’s new Air cushioning technology, along with its high-top design, which helped provide ankle support. Billie Eilish’s OG-inspired take on the vintage ‘80s basketball shoe starts with a crisp leather upper and a contrasting forefoot strap. Contrasting hits of color are seen t the signature leather Swoosh and padded textile collar. Dual Swoosh and Billie Eilish branding decorate the custom graphic sockliner, while the polyurethane is responsible for housing the encapsulated Nike Air cushioning.
