The Brighton residence was an existing 2 story art deco home that was refurbished with a new addition to the rear of the dwelling to include a large open plan living area. The residence features a sunken lounge, suspended fire place and a window into the swimming pool. The architects provided a brief for a modernist pavilion extension that was seamlessly connected to the garden and pool. The neutral interior palette of travertine, American oak, brass, leather and velvet provide texture and warmth in a space otherwise dominated by window glazing and the ceiling plane.
