Adidas A-ZX series initially launched back in 1984 as a collection of performance running sneakers that are designed for all types and abilities of runners. Over a decade after ZX’s inaugural release, adidas Originals returned with a celebrated dubbed ‘A-ZX’ that saw some of the brand’s most esteemed global partners each collaborate on 26 ZX drops. In 2020, adidas Originals is bringing back A-ZX with a new unique twist, bringing the franchise into the future with unique models and collaborations. Going into this year and next, adidas 'A-ZX' will be releasing 26 different silhouettes made for the future.

One of the first drops of the collection is the ZX Superstar 8000. The adidas ZX Superstar 8000 silhouette fuses two of its most iconic silhouettes into one. Aligning with the brand’s 50 years of Superstar celebrate, the model dresses up the ZX 8000 silhouette with a tromp l’oeil print on the iconic Superstar’s shell toe. The silhouette features a leather upper with a digitally printed overlay image of the original shell-toe sneaker. The model fuses the Superstar’s signature shell toe and the retro-vibe of the ZX 8000 for a striking new sneaker.
