Nobody else has quite made an impact on pop culture like Ye, formerly known as Kanye West. When he first came onto the music scene, Ye made a bold impression with his distinct aesthetic and has since continued to blur the lines between fashion and music. Ye built a path for others by pursuing a career in fashion through footwear after a short stint with Nike and then fully joining the Adidas lineup in 2015 with his ‘Yeezy’ line. Ye’s ongoing legacy continues as his legacy includes his musical excellence, goals, and commitment to pushing the boundaries of fashion and footwear within his Yeezy empire.

The Yeezy Foam Runner made its first subtle appearance on the feet of Ye’s daughter North West in 2019. Officially debuting a year later, this unique futuristic silhouette is comparable to the construction of Crocs footwear with its lack of laces and moving parts. The thick rear makes a distinct impression as it spotlights a plethora of gaping holes throughout the entire exterior. The design also references the Yeezy 700 silhouette. The design’s first colorway was released in ‘Ararat,’ with additional colorways since then including ‘Sand,’ ‘MXT Moon Grey,’ ‘Ochre,’ and ‘Mineral Blue.’

The notable ‘Sand’ colorway arrives once again from the Yeezy footwear release repertoire. It's complemented by its molded one-piece construction that highlights an elevated light tan finish. The EVA construction features an upper treated with sculpted lines and a series of mapped vents throughout the exterior, primarily at the midfoot and enhanced. This detailing offers a breathable touch. The textured footbed keeps the foot in place, while the contoured outsole spotlights a wavy traction pattern for optimal durability and gripping. A classic Adidas logo resides underneath the heel, rounding out the remainder of the silhouette.
