Just Arrived: BAPE
Haven Neiman
What initially started as an underground Japanese streetwear label that was one of fashion's best-kept secrets has since become one of the most globally-recognized OG lifestyle brands. The brand, BAPE, or A Bathing Ape, was established in 1993 in Harajuku, Japan. BAPE quickly became a cultural tastemaker in Tokyo and nearby areas of Japan. Nigo and SK8THING introduced the label, and it has become revered for its signature apparel like graphic t-shirts, sweatshorts, hoodies, crewnecks, sweaters, sweatpants, full-zip hoodies, and more.
Over the years, what has helped put BAPE even more on the map was its use of iconic motifs that became synonymous with the brand and its offerings as a whole. This included the iconic ape head, camo shark, and, more recently, the baby milo. With that, BAPE’s new arrivals are available now exclusively at our FEATURE Scottsdale store. Keep reading to take a closer look at the latest collection.
BAPE’s new collection includes a selection of graphic tees, sweatshorts, hoodies, and more. One stand-out apparel item is the A Bathing Ape Abc Camo Side Shark Sweat Shorts. Taking on a unique aesthetic, the silhouette is cut entirely from cotton and utilizes an elastic waistband for added comfort. Side pockets are placed in addition to the camo print, appearing at one side. Screen-printed shark head graphics are placed, while a subtle woven brand logo at the left cuff wraps up the look. As for graphic tees, the collection includes the A Bathing Ape Woodland Camo Wgm Ape Head Tee. This cotton-cut silhouette utilizes a crew neckline and screen-printed branding at the front and rear. Additional printed phrasing paired with ape head graphics wrap up the silhouette. Another must-have apparel item from the collection is the A Bathing Ape Color Camo College Cutting Relaxed Fit Hoodie.
