German-based sportswear and sneaker lifestyle brand Puma was established in 1948 by Rudolf Dassler. He wanted the company to represent the characteristics of a puma: speed, strength, agility, and endurance. The brand is recognized for its iconic Formstrip placed on a majority of its footwear. Since its establishment in the ‘40s, Puma has grown into one of the most recognizable and iconic sportswear brands in the fashion industry, having collaborated with renowned designers and brands to bring sports influences into street culture and fashion.

Multi-Grammy & Brit Awards winner Dua Lipa has been the face of some of Puma’s most exciting female-led campaigns. The multi-faceted singer, songwriter, model, and actress began collaborating with Puma in the fall of 2021, and has arrived once again to launch the second season of the ongoing Puma x Dua Lipa collaboration collection, ‘Flutur.’ Inspired by streetwear and sports aesthetics, each piece draws inspiration from sports like basketball and football. Dua Lipa herself is personally inspired by the ‘90s along with vintage and heritage apparel pieces. The artist joined with Puma in designing nostalgic rave-inspired Puma classics by fusing vintage sports inspiration with modern fits and bright, playful colors. The second collection implements Dua Lipa’s butterfly insignia that represents transition, metamorphosis, and new beginnings.

This second drop consists of a variety of ‘90s-inspired and sport-influenced apparel and footwear. One of the footwear offerings includes the Puma x Dua Lipa Women’s Cell King Metallic L. Featuring a silver-toned leather upper, this premium sneaker implements detailed contrast stitching throughout the exterior. The football-inspired velcro flag adds a functional touch to the look and is treated with additional Puma branding. A translucent Puma Cell bubble is seen at the midsole, providing further comfort with each step. The iconic Dua Lipa butterfly insignia is seen on the tongue and sockliner. A stacked rubber sole unit nods to ‘90s aesthetic and activewear cues, tying together the overall silhouette.
