Yeezy Boost 350 V2
‘Beluga Reflective’
Kanye West’s partnership with Adidas first began in 2015, and his entrepreneur mindset, along with his unique aesthetic, contributed to the ongoing collaboration’s continued success. Kanye approached the fashion world through an alternative route with sneakers. In 2015 Kanye was introducing Yeezy Season 1 to the fashion world, and it was that same year when the first Yeezy sneaker was released—the Yeezy Boost 350. The sneaker was showcased in neutral tones, which spoke to Kanye West’s overall aesthetic and featured the iconic branded stripe placed across the side panels, highlighting the overall silhouette. When the Yeezy Boost 350 V1 was introduced, many were eager to secure a pair. When the V2 came out in 2016, sneaker enthusiasts worldwide were thrilled.
The sneaker’s first debut was revolutionary as it incorporated adidas’ signature Primeknit material placed within the upper, and the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 has been one of adidas’ most iconic sneaker models, including its ‘Zebra’ and ‘Beluga’ iterations. Although the silhouette has shifted in shape and structure over the years, including variations with and without a heel tab and adjustments in its pattern over time, the sneaker continues to be one of the most iconic silhouettes between adidas and Kanye West.
Sticking true to the original design, the Yeezy line is closing out the year with the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 ‘Beluga Reflective,’ which appears for the first time following the non-reflective version’s first release in 2016. This silhouette closely follows the original design, incorporating a signature PrimeKnit sock-like upper with bold speckled orange accents. Drak shades of grey are adjacent to the orange, while the signature ‘SPLY-250’ branding is placed among the reflective stripe. This update on the OG colorway takes on an upgraded version of the first ‘Beluga’ colorway and features signature reflective elements within the PrimeKnit upper. Full-length Boost cushioning is embedded within the semi-translucent midsole and matching rubber outsole, offering an authentic aesthetic while providing optimal traction and durability for all times of wear.
