Real Bad Man
Season 7 Drop 2
After working as an Art Director for Stussy, Union, and Undefeated, Adam Weissman decided to start his own project where he could make the final calls. Once he was able to solidify his name within the streetwear industry, Weissman teamed up with Los Angeles-based artist Noah Butkis on a clothing project that highlighted their love for music with cues from their own personality. Their eccentric taste in music was the beginning of their partnership as they wanted to create merch for bands and artists that didn’t have the means to create clothing. They would then ‘steal’ album artwork or photographs and rework them on graphic tees. This concept provoked them into naming their efforts as, ‘Real Bad Man.’ They felt criminal-like for taking other’s artwork and repurposing it for their own enjoyment. In addition to the name of their clothing line, they also created their notable mischievous character. Following the ‘bad’ criteria, this motif would be the face of their clothing line and officially begin their apparel journey.
Music is the fashion label’s inherent backbone but over time Weissman and Butkis started to introduce styles that take inspiration from things they loved including movie genres, subcultures, and personal experiences. This was not only a passion project but a way for others to enjoy their works of art. Weissman and Butkis would later employ close friends who supported their cause in order to grow the name. Now, Real Bad Man has an impactful reputation within the world of fashion as they produce one-of-a-kind designs that stand out against the sea of ready-to-wear collections. The second part of their season 7 delivery draws emphasis on their love for sci-fi films and inside jokes. Taking into consideration the summer weather, the fashion label also includes vacation-ready styles that are perfect for beach days or travel festivities.
Include the Psychadelica Vacation Button-Down into your summer routine. Introduced in two colorways, the sophisticated style is reminiscent of tropical patterns. Constructed with lightweight and breathable cotton, the tee features wood button closures that work nicely with the bold palettes. The pastel and bold coloring are transferred over to the Asshole S/S Tee in Tie Dye. Designed with new sci-fi-inspired graphics, the tee includes brash text to coincide with the artwork. Handwash treatment provides a distinct finish allowing the tie-dye to stand out against its smooth complexion. Familiar styles are translated over to the From Outer Space L/S Tee and Strange Sounds S/S Tee. The alien artwork and vibrant hues are reminiscent of Weissman’s and Butkis’ playful personalities and long-lived friendship.
For a more classic theme, the RBM Front Hitter Tee highlights the brand’s signature branding and mischievous cartoon. Showcased in either Black, White, or Bland Pink, the tee’s graphic falls flush upon the base for a smooth experience. Comfortable and casual, the Front Hitter is a great style to implement into your everyday rotation. Real Bad Man Season 2 Drop 2 is now available at our Chinatown and Calabasas locations + online.
