Los Angeles-based label Rhude sits between high-end streetwear and contemporary menswear aesthetics. The brand was founded in 2015 by menswear designer Rhuigi Villaseñor. With no formal training in fashion design, Villaseñor studied art history after graduating high school and interned for designer Shaun Samson. Originally born in the Philippines and raised in Southern California, he credits his mother’s tailor expertise to understanding garments and construction. She taught him how to build each piece and tell stories within the collection. Rhude balances luxury techniques with streetwear elements and recreates wardrobe classics with a modern twist. Primarily known for producing ready-to-wear collections, the brand features premium textiles that incorporate cut and sew construction. Rhude reflects modern socioeconomics and personal stories of Villaseñor with each item. Combining American iconography with nostalgic references, Rhude is a visual commentary on Los Angeles style and culture.

Rhude introduces the second delivery of the Fall/Winter 2021 collection, titled “Storms Never Last.” With inspiration from the iconic Formula 1 and McLaren Racing history, the collection is pushed into new territories by paying homage to race-car driver Bruce McLaren. With a selection of apparel, headwear, accessories, and footwear, the items contain subtle hints of the iconic paddock fashion worn by Formula 1 legends through history through various textiles and patterns. The second delivery reimagines sport and modern luxury into innovation and progressiveness. Rhude continues to maintain its stake in the world of elevated streetwear fashion. With the Rhude Panel Crewneck, the brand’s modern twist on wardrobe classics is emphasized in its design. A panel design on the back beneath embroidered branding highlights the cotton-cut silhouette. Side pockets make an appearance for a functional touch and exposed stitching for an authentic vintage aesthetic. The Rhude Monaco Short features the Formula 1 and McLaren Racing aesthetic with a ‘Rhude Motorsport’ logo patch placed at the front, highlighting the red and blue striping throughout the design. The blended polyester shorts also feature an elastic waistband for an adjustable experience.

“Storms Never Last”

The latest fall delivery from fashion label Rhude includes a wide selection of footwear fit for the season. Allow the brand to upgrade your fall footwear selections with the arrival of their seasonally-appropriate footwear options, such as the Rhude Rhecess Hi, which features a vintage and worn-in approach to footwear that is emphasized in its design. Colorblocking is also placed throughout the exterior of the high-top leather sneaker, with an off-white lace-up closure, and midsole is recognized as an additional vintage touch. The shoes are complete with an authentic suede heel logo and rubber outsole underneath the silhouette. With the Rhude Bandana Loafer, the canvas loafer features an all-over printed pattern seen throughout the entirety of the unique design. Additional components of the design include a round-toe silhouette with an embroidered logo at the vamp and exterior, while tonal stacked leather completes the intricate design.
