The Air Jordan 1 OG "VOLT GOLD" Releases on January 9th
Chelsie Rendon
In 1984 when Michael Jordan stepped on the court with the first ever “Air Jordans,” history was truly made. Nike had developed a relationship with the basketball player and took advantage of the fact that the first shoe they produced was “banned” as it didn’t have enough white. Because of this stigma, Nike took that to their advantage making people believe it made him perform well and that was the reason the shoe was prohibited. Ever since that day, the Air Jordan 1 has made a mark on Nike’s history and still is widely produced.
Nike presents their latest design on a beloved silhouette. The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Volt Gold” takes the original silhouette and gives it a modern/neon touch. Leather encases the upper with colors of black and white supplying the base. Highlights of the colors “Volt” and “University Gold” are found within the collar and heel to complete the look. Complimenting the neon colors, is a translucent tag label upon the tongue. The shoe has been redesigned to capture the eyes of everyone, a truly bold and bright accessory to any outfit.
