With December nearing its end and the new year soon approaching, a handful of some of our top-tier brands introduce their sneaker release offerings in celebration of the year coming to a close. Take a closer look at this week’s sneaker releases from Air Jordan, Nike x UNDEFEATED, and New Balance.

New Balance ‘Lunar New Year’ 9060, 550, 2002R, 574

With the new year and its celebrations in mind, New Balance is starting off 2023 on the right foot with a pack of sneakers honoring the Chinese New Year titled ‘Lunar New Year.’ The New Balance 550 leads the beginning of the pack with its blend of leather and suede at the upper. Its two neutral color schemes make an elevated impression alongside signature New Balance branding. Alongside the 550 are additional silhouettes celebrating the new year: the 9060, 2002R, and 574. 

Nike x UNDEFEATED Air Force 1 Low ‘Celestine Blue’

Streetwear brand UNDEFEATED collides once again with Nike in a collaborative take on the Air Force 1 Low. Featuring a rich patent leather upper and a translucent Swoosh at the side panel, the sneaker includes a woven tongue label that nods to the UNDEFEATED history. An all-over printed footbed provides additional spotlighting. A debossed 5-strike resides at the heel. UNDEFEATED branded dubraes make an impression, while the gum rubber outsole supports the signature Air cushioning. A perforated toe box wraps up the remainder of the sneaker.

Air Jordan 2 ‘Chicago’

Our final release for the week is none other than the Air Jordan 2 ‘Chicago.’ This iconic colorway re-release arrives just in time for the silhouette’s 35th anniversary. The silhouette is available in a full range of sizing, including men’s, grade school, toddler, and preschool sizes. Taking on a crisp leather upper that is accented by sleek lines and perforations, signature faux lizard skin overlays make an impression along with the Jordan Wings branding. A heel counter is placed, while additional Nike branding at the rear collar wraps up the overall aesthetic.
