Diadora
Diadora is an Italian sportswear and footwear brand founded in 1948 by Marcello Danieli. The name comes from the Greek “dia-dora” which translates to “sharing gifts and honours.”
The first sneaker that Diadora produced was a mountain climbing boot. From that single silhouette, they soon became well known for providing the best mountain and work boot. In the 1960’s the brand switched their vision and production over to the world of sports. They started to make shoes made for football and started to explode in the sports and football space. After working in the football sneaker industry, they started to produce sneakers for track and field, soccer and more.
Today, Diadora strives to be a global leader in the sports and lifestyle industry. They pride themselves on research and creativity and continue to grow in the use of materials and construction. After working in the sports industry for many years, in the early 2000’s, the brand decided to return to everyday workwear silhouettes and the “Diadora Utility” was born.
