Heron Preston has had a prominent name within the fashion industry prior to his debut in 2016. Graduating from Parsons School of Design, Preston grew his platform alongside Off-White’s Virgil Abloh. In hopes to grow his name, he started working for Nike as a global digital producer but soon after he would join Kanye West’s group of creators and work alongside Matthew Williams and Justin Saunders. Altogether, they would create the streetwear label Been Trill and continue working for West as his art director; he would then produce tour merchandise and implement his work into Yeezy fashion shows. After years of learning and growing himself, he would then venture into the collective we know today. His eponymous streetwear label combines industrial themes with natural aesthetics. Utilizing his distinct heron bird motif, the label has become prevalent within the industry and continues to prevail.

The most recent collection from Heron Preston is a celebration of Brookly-based creatives and their dedication to their practices. Introduced alongside collaborations with CAT and Gentle Monster, the ready-to-wear collection goes back to basics with redefined touches for an even more premium design. Signature pieces are given updated finishes as the Spring ‘21 collection draws a greater focus on Heron Preston’s core strengths. Titled, ‘K.I.S.S.’ the collection was created during the struggles of the pandemic, allowing Preston to really understand his position within the industry and go back to what started it all.

Within the spring capsule, an array of graphic tees include familiar imagery with vibrant touches of colors. The Oversize Herons Captcha Tee takes classic imagery and gives it a modern fit and style. Blue heron imagery is placed upon the front while nature-driven branding is stitched throughout. We can see similar graphics upon the Heron Rainbow Crewneck as it highlights the bird emblem with a touch of vibrancy. Constructed with premium jersey cotton, the tee is detailed with rib-knit trim and a midweight complexion.

Heron Preston also includes two swim short designs within the collection. In preparation for warmer weather, the HP Cutout and Nylon Swim Shorts stick true to the brand’s overall aesthetic with premium fabrics and distinct imagery. The summer-ready designs can also be paired with the latest accessories and footwear. Three different hats are available within the delivery along with the Fabric Slider in Orange and Black. Perfectly match the Periodic Patch Trucker Hat with any of the apparel for a cohesive styling and aesthetic.
