Heritage Headwear Arrivals

Dating back over 90 years, legendary and iconic hat company New Era was founded by Ehrhardt Koch in Buffalo, New York, in 1920. With a passion for crafting only the highest quality of caps, Koch began known for his ‘Brooklyn Style’ cap and making personal renditions of signature designs. New Era has grown to amass a committed fan base of hat enthusiasts and establishing itself as more than just a headwear brand, but an international lifestyle brand. Primarily known for their sports heritage, New Era is the only brand in sports history with exclusive headwear rights for all three major U.S. sports leagues—the NBA, MLB, and NFL. This accomplishment dates back to when the brand produced its first professional baseball cap for the Cleveland Guardians in 1934. New Era became the official brand of the MLB in 1993.

Most recognized for their iconic fitted cap, the 59FIFTY, New Era is mainly recognized for their flag logo on the side of each of their hats. The brand has been a cultural icon for decades and a multitude of different generations, including athletes, hip-hop artists, and a variety of subcultures in between. Their headwear offerings maintain as staple pieces in generations of outfits. That reputation continues with their latest headwear offerings—the PolarTec, City Cluster, Count the Rings, Team Fire 59FIFTY hats, and City Transit Beanies.

Embodying a sense of sport, culture, and style, New Era has collided with Polartec to introduce the Polartec Windo Pro 59FIFTY Fitted. This revolutionary technological headwear embodies the true aesthetic of New Era’s flagship style, the 59FIFTY, while incorporating an advanced fleece developed to fight the harsher elements such as cold, wind, and rain. Represent your favorite sports team with this distinct design that features a fitted structure with woven eyelets at the crown. An embroidered logo is placed on the face while signature New Era branding appears on the side. The flat brim and gray undervisor tie together the unique aesthetic. Additional teams featured in the comfortable and functional Polartec Windo Pro 59FIFTY Fitted silhouettes include the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox, and Boston Red Sox.

“A Shift in Style.”

Another addition to New Era’s extensive headwear roster also includes new arrivals that proudly represent their respective teams, as seen in the new Count The Rings 59FIFTY Fitted silhouette. Spotlighting teams such as the Las Vegas Raiders, Houston Astros, and the New York Yankees, this unique design celebrates all things sports with a polyester construction and a flat brim. The primary spotlight of the design includes an embroidered logo placed at the face. In contrast, embroidered World Series or Super Bowl patches are placed throughout, with an embroidered number incorporating ring graphics, nodding to its respective team’s distinct heritage. Additionally, the New Era City Cluster 59FIFTY Fitted is reminiscent of its specific team’s hometown roots with eye-catching embroidered ‘clustered’ graphics. As seen in the New Era City Cluster 59FIFTY Fitted - Oakland Athletics, this fitted polyester hat includes at the side panel an embroidered California graphic alongside a heart, the Oakland Athletics logo, and the phrase ‘The Bay Area.’

The New Era Team Fire 59FIFTY Fitted takes a slightly different approach while still embodying similar aesthetics, such as the signature fitted construction, polyester material, and woven eyelets. In this silhouette, its respective team’s logo is embroidered at the face with flame graphics, while an additional logo can be seen at the rear. A World Series patch is placed at the side panel as well.

“Sports Heritage Headwear.”

Fitting for the cooler months, New Era’s City Transit Knit Beanie is the final new headwear offering from the heritage brand. Sporting teams such as the Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors, and the Los Angeles Lakers, these beanies are both sleek and comfortable. Crafted entirely from acrylic, the silhouette is made for a stretch fit and includes a single-fold design. Embroidered graphics with raised details are placed at the front and back, incorporating its team’s branding and hometown motifs.
