Just Arrived

First originated by designer Kyle Ng and co-founder Ed Davis in 2014, the Los Angeles-based streetwear label Brain Dead has grown into the world’s most sought-after brand. To Kyle Ng and Ed Davis, Brain Dead is not one person, nor is it just one idea. The label is inspired by California’s notable subculture groups, such as punks, skateboarders, and comic lovers. Brain Dead caters to those who embrace the overall subculture spirit and is easily recognizable by its bold and disruptive graphics. Brain Dead continues to push the boundaries of streetwear apparel and is consistently known for highlighting its artistic capabilities onto premium-made silhouettes.

Italian tennis champion Sergio Tacchini established his namesake heritage athletics label in 1966. This premium label represents authenticity, craftsmanship, and style. For over 50 years, Sergio Tacchini has redefined the traditional sport and lifestyle apparel scene both on and off the court, having styled iconic tennis players like John Mcenroe, Peter Sampras, and Novak Djokovic. The label inspired movements from the United Kingdom’s casual culture to the distinct brash street subculture of the United States. Sergio Tacchini is well-versed in revitalizing and disrupting the status quo.

The aesthetics of Brain Dead and Sergio Tacchini combine in the Brain Dead x Sergio Tacchini collaboration. This apparel, headwear, and accessory capsule collection puts a unique spin on traditional tennis components, as each item is heavy on flair and 80s inspiration. The designs are treated with custom co-branded logos with colorful hues decked out with checkerboard patterns and mismatched primary colors. The tennis-inspired apparel joins alongside two fully-fledged match-ready jumpsuits along with headbands and wristbands. Ideal for on and off the court, this capsule is one you don’t want to miss.

Authentic vintage aesthetics are placed within the Brain Dead x Sergio Tacchini Polo. Featuring a premium blend of original cotton piqué material, this signature silhouette spotlights multicolor checkerboard taping and striped detailing throughout the exterior. A collaborative logo is embroidered at the chest, while the two-button placket leads to the rib-knit collar, also treated with the aforementioned checkerboard print. Paired seamlessly with the polo are the Brain Dead x Sergio Tacchini Shorts. Brain Dead’s streetwear aesthetics and the elevated Italian sportswear aesthetics are highly present in this design, as the silhouette spotlights a crinkle nylon construction paired with an elastic waistband and hand pockets. The collaborative embroidered logo makes an appearance, while the zippered welt pockets and the checkerboard taping nod to the capsule’s ongoing theme.

The Brain Dead x Sergio Tacchini Nylon Tracksuit is one of the two tracksuits featured in this vintage tennis-inspired capsule collection. Within the jacket are a crinkle nylon construction and a full-zip closure. A stand-up collar is also placed, while the mismatched checkerboard paneling can be seen at the sleeves leading into the chest. A collaborative embroidered logo appears at the chest, while the zippered side pockets emphasize functionality. The elastic cuffs, hem, and custom zipper pull to complete the top. As for the pants, the same crinkle nylon material makes up the silhouette. The elastic waistband and cuffs add detailing and comfort, while the custom zipper pulls and collaborative embroidered logo appear. The zippered side pockets add functionality, while the checkerboard paneling placed at the side of the legs ties together the tracksuit.
