'War in Heaven: Battle of Heaven'

Saint Michael’s origin began when LA-based multidisciplinary artist Cali Thornhill Dewitt and Japanese-label READYMADE designer Yuta Hosokawa worked on a previous collaboration that spiraled into what is now known as Saint Michael. The brainchild intertwines both Hosokawa’s love for vintage clothing and Dewitt’s stunning art style. The pieces included in Saint Michael are one of a kind and embrace the vintage concept. With bold and brash graphics, the emerging vintage styling label focuses on vintage-inspired apparel that incorporates retro flair and a modern aesthetic.

The new arrivals within the collection titled “War in Heaven: Battle of Heaven” incorporates the brand’s signature religion-themed graphics, including angels and the Virgin Mary. The flair and artistry of the brand are reflected in the new collection through the pieces, while additional elements include a continuation of the brand’s previous partnership with Denim Tears. With a centered focus primarily on clothing, the new arrivals are vintage-inspired while incorporating a modern feel through pieces ranging from t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts to caps and socks. The imagery throughout the collection intertwines the inspiration from Hosokawa and Dewitt in each piece. With the Double Jesus S/S Tee, the Denim Tears collaboration is included throughout the eccentric imagery. The Saint-Michael t-shirt is constructed with complete cotton that is both comfortable and fashionable. The design contributes to the collaboration’s theme of religious imagery.

A contrasting collection piece is the STTRS Sweatshirt in Yellow. The crewneck shows a collegiate-inspired graphic that includes distressed detailing for a vintage aesthetic. Complete with ribbed knitted cuffs and hem, the cotton crewneck allows for a comfortable yet modern look. A perfect match to the sweatshirt, the STTRS Sweatpants in Yellow truly captures the eccentricity of Saint Michael and Denim Tears with the collegiate-inspired graphic as well as the distressed detailing.  

Complete the Saint Michael fit with the Saint Cap seen in White/Black. With complete cotton stitching and white and black finishings, the cap enhances the Saint Michael branding placed at the front and back. The perforated holes placed at the crown and the adjustable flat brim can be adjusted and styled to your liking. An additional piece to incorporate into the look are the Saint Michael eye socks. With its contemporary and premium finishes, the socks include intricate stitching motifs and stitched logos that compliment the silhouette’s imagery.
