Puma’s legacy began all the way back in the 40’s with two German brothers, Rudolf and Adolf Dassler. The two had established the Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory, but eventually went their separate ways to pursue their own personal fashion efforts. With that, Rudolf went on to establish the brand ‘Ruda,’ which we now know as ‘Puma.’ Representing speed, strength, and agility, Puma has catapulted into being one of the most recognizable and iconic sportswear brands in the industry.

Puma’s exclusive collaborations have helped set it apart from other brands and has often collaborated with celebrities and brands such as Dua Lipa, Liberty, AMI, TMC, and more. With that, Puma’s latest collaboration is with Palomo Spain. Established in 2015 by Alejandro Gómez Palomo, the designer and creative director has established the brand as a premier menswear label that takes on sophisticated and urban street style aesthetics combined with southern Spanish inspiration. This debut collaboration between the two brands builds on Puma’s sporting heritage while continuing to challenge the stereotypes put into place regarding shameless self-expression. Filled with apparel and footwear, each offering from the capsule represents the fluidity of the modern day while still referencing the best styles of sporting history.

Inspired by signature sports styles of the ‘70s, the collaboration takes into account Puma’s football range that dominated the style of that time frame. But this time, Palomo Spain adds avant-garde aesthetics, further flourishing the offerings featured in the capsule. Palomo Spain has never been afraid of experimentation, and this ‘70s football-inspired collection explores the lives of players off the field. Featuring two footwear options, a stand-out footwear silhouette from the collection includes the Puma x Palomo Weekend. The item spotlights a leather upper that is covered with an array of screen-printed branded graphics. Similar imagery resides at the printed insoles. A rubber outsole is placed for a durable and traction-fitting aesthetic.

This debut collaboration introduces the Puma x Palomo Polo. Featured in a Blue hue, the silhouette is crafted from comfortable cotton for a breathable touch. Additional detailing resides in the form of embroidered co-branding that is seen at the chest that pairs seamlessly with a vertical stripe pattern. The polo collar references further ‘70s sport inspiration, while the front button closure adds security. The premium apparel and footwear offerings make this capsule a must-have for all. The Puma x Palomo T7 Track Jacket is another stand-out piece that perfectly captures the two brands. Cut from cotton, the silhouette spotlights an embroidered co-branded logo at the chest. The side stripe detailing offers further dimension to the design, while the high neck is secured with a front zip closure. Two side pockets are placed for further functionality. An elastic waistband is placed for a finished look.
