‘The Concrete Jungle’

NBA All-Star player Russell Westbrook’s eclectic and fearless style approach inspired him to create his clothing line Honor The Gift. First introduced to the public in late 2017, Honor The Gift reflects Russell Westbrook’s love of fashion and has carved itself into the streetwear world. Honor The Gift was founded on Russell Westbrook’s self-belief and dedication never to stop working towards your greatness, no matter the hardships. The streetwear label’s work focuses on quality, purpose, and storytelling through thoughtfully-designed vintage-inspired apparel. The brand pays homage to Russell’s childhood in Los Angeles while referencing his faith.

Honor The Gift’s new Spring 2022 collection titled ‘The Concrete Jungle’ takes on authentic coastal California aesthetics. As a tribute to the most popular city in California, the collection is composed of a variety of apparel and headwear such as graphic tees, crewnecks, hats, caps, and more. This contemporary homage to Los Angeles is told from the perspective of a kid who comes from nothing that dedicates their life to making their dreams come to fruition. Within ‘The Concrete Jungle’ is a seven pastel color story presented on aesthetically vintage offerings.

The Honor The Gift Cinema S/S Tee is one of the apparel items included in this collection. Featuring a premium jersey cotton construction, the design has been treated with a vintage-aged wash and consists of a crew neckline. Faded screen-printed branding resides at the front, while there are additional graphics at the rear. This premium design authentically displays Russell's LA-inspired roots. Along with the tee are the Honor The Gift Jungle Shorts. They fit the ‘The Concrete Jungle’ aesthetic, as the design spotlights any spring wardrobe. The silhouette is composed of a cotton blend and includes custom jacquard artwork throughout the exterior. Ribbed detailing resides at the neckline and hem. Side pockets and a single rear pocket add additional functionality, while the woven back label ties together the overall vintage California aesthetic.

A stand-out piece from Honor The Gift’s new collection includes the Hawthorne Jacket. While authentically displaying vintage aesthetics, this must-have outerwear item is crafted entirely from cotton and is placed on a premium heavy canvas. The peached polyester lining adds additional comfort and detailing, while the embroidered patchwork detailing set at the front exterior spotlights the overall silhouette, referencing the collection's overall inspiration. A full-zip closure is applied for added security, leading to a spread collar. The side pockets add a finished design. The Honor The Gift Inglewood Trouser is a premium apparel item as well, as the wool-blended construction paired with a rear woven label make a statement. Additional notable features include the adjustable waistband and rear pockets.
