Chinatown Market x Li-Ning
Chinatown Market’s apparent personality has taken over social media as they have not only applied their lively and whimsical aesthetic to their clothing but applied it to their company heritage. When Chinatown Market was first introduced in 2016 it was led solely by Mike Cherman and now he has a team filled with committed individuals that carry the label with pride. Adorned by many, Chinatown Market has expanded their talents into other categories which include collaborative partnerships with many brands. Personalities including Conan O’Brien and Mike Tyson have worked closely with the label whereas Puma, Converse, and Crocs have also teamed up with Chinatown Market on exclusive apparel deliveries. Most recently they’ve partnered with Chinese sportswear giant, Li-Ning on a capsule that is vibrant and reflects the great outdoors.
Li-Ning was created by former Olympic gymnast Li Ning in 1989 and primarily focused on providing athletes and sports enthusiasts quality styles that can upkeep wear and tear. The brand has grown in popularity over time as the world of sports and fashion has blended. Chinatown Market takes their love for activity and transforms it into ready-to-wear styles as they join forces with Li-Ning on the latest arrivals.
Primarily focused on graphics, the Chinatown Market x Li-Ning collaboration includes the Find Your Way Tie-Dye T-Shirt. Constructed with quality cotton, each tee features a unique tie-dye pattern that makes every design unique. Premium elements are emphasized as seen with the flush imagery, woven co-branded patch, and ribbed stitching at the neckline. Similar qualities are transferred over onto the Shooting Stars AOP T-Shirt. Handdrawn imagery is seen throughout as it truly strengthens the collection’s hiking and camp theme. The garment is lightweight and made for a standard fit. Other styles introduced within the graphic capsule include The Great Beyond Slogan T-Shirt and the Pop Hit T-Shirt. Another style within the collection that highlights craftsmanship is the Catching Z’s Logo T-Shirt. Printed imagery is mixed with embroidered details for a unique finish.
Pair the graphics with either the Cordura Work Reflective Shorts or the Training Reflective Shorts. Both taking on tactical themes, the shorts feature a cargo-inspired design re-envisioned for contemporary wear. Zippered pockets and adjustable drawstrings are implemented within the pieces for a perfect blend of utilitarian and comfort.
