The Dimension Between Past and Future | Ambush SS20
Marissa Villamor
Ambush started out in 2008 as an experimental jewelry line and has since flourished into a full-fledged contemporary Japanese label and brand. The label is most recognized for its iconic POW! chains and rings that debuted back in 2009 and could be seen on a variety of high profile celebrities. Launching their ready-to-line in 2015, Ambush is inspired by innovative pop art and 90s Tokyo aesthetic. Their collections feature unisex apparel from both apparel and jewelry and plays with a new theme for each different seasonal delivery.
Ambush’s latest collection plays with a futuristic and iridescent-theme for the Spring/Summer season with pops of fluorescent green and technicolor red. The collection plays with the idea of a different dimension between the past and future in Tokyo with an emphasis on tailoring and unisex pieces.
Notable apparel pieces in the delivery are the Ambush Optical Print Hoodie, Ambush Logo Crewneck and Ambush Patchwork Panel Tee. Other notable jewelry pieces from the SS20 delivery features the Armor ring, Carabine necklace, Logo Lighter Case necklace, USB necklace and Pill Charm necklace.
