When Anwar ‘Carrots’ Washington was in high school while living in Los Angeles, he created a blog that quickly gained mass traction and a cult following. This blog, later named Peas & Carrots, featured Anwar’s streetwear composure and unique clothing outlook. Introduced to the world of fashion from a young age, Anwar made it a goal to build a career in fashion. That opportunity was given to him in 2011 when he created clothing to sell at the late singer Mac Miller’s 2011 tour. What started as a blog turned into a full-fledged clothing brand until 2015 when Anwar chose to diverge from Peas & Carrots to focus on his new namesake label, Carrots by Anwar Carrots. The brand name Carrots by Anwar Carrots is derived from Anwar’s high school nickname due to his red hair and hometown roots of New Jersey. The brand has grown to gain mass popularity, and Anwar has been devoted to increasing the vegetable-themed brand. Considered to be a lifestyle and clothing brand, Carrots has released a variety of ready-to-wear pieces along with everyday items, all of which are styled in familiar tones reminiscent of vegetables. Signature branding is paired with lively characters and quotes that are correlated with the overall aesthetic. The brand has grown to what it is today by working with well-known brands such as Crocs, K-Swiss, and PUMA.

Carrots by Anwar Carrots’ approach to aesthetics that incorporates bold colors and instantly recognizable graphics continues with the ongoing collaboration between Carrots by Anwar Carrots and music veteran Freddie Gibbs. Artist and rapper Freddie Gibbs grew up in Gary, Indiana, and is well-known for his online presence, acting performances, and broad collaborations between different artists and various labels. The partnership between Carrots by Anwar Carrots and Freddie Gibbs first began in the summer of 2021 with a selection of ready-to-wear apparel that perfectly blends the designs of Carrots and Freddie Gibbs. The collaboration incorporated Freddie Gibbs’ signature ‘Cokane Rabbit’ motif placed on a selection of apparel by Carrots. As Freddie Gibbs’ and Carrots by Anwar Carrots’ relationship has grown, they have created a new joint line of apparel titled ‘Rabbits by Carrots.’

With that, we introduce FEATURE x Carrots x Freddie Gibbs. This exclusive collaboration capsule intertwines our signature FEATURE branding with vegetable-inspired fashion label Carrots and Freddie Gibbs’ notable ‘Cokane Rabbit’ motif placed on a selection of apparel, including the FEATURE x Carrots x Freddie Gibbs Rabbit Hat Tee, L/S Tee, and Hoodie, in addition to the Rabbits Wordmark Sweatpant. With the FEATURE x Carrots x Freddie Gibbs Rabbit Hat Tee, the design sets itself apart from the everyday t-shirt with its unique graphics and cotton construction. Made for a standard fit, the silhouette incorporates screen-printed Rabbits by Carrots branding at the chest, while a subtle Carrots patch appears at the right sleeve. The silhouette is complete with a screen-printed Freddie Gibbs rabbit motif that encompasses the back of the design.
