Authentic Summer '21

Kappa made its debut in 1967 and evolved into a full-fledged fashion line as they focused on providing sophisticated and functional elements to everyday wear. Competing against top names such as Tommy Hilfiger and Polo, Kappa was determined to be different by introducing their signature Omini logo in 1969. The man and woman sitting back to back made a statement within the industry and showed the progressive mindset Kappa had against their competition. They would then utilize this image on many designs including their sought-after tracksuits. The fashion label was able to gain sponsorships and showcase their suits on many platforms from the Olympics to the national soccer league. Top-tier athletes would wear Kappa tracksuits before and after their event which grew their name as many fans would want to wear the same styles as their favorite players. Kappa’s utilitarian aesthetic spread across the world of sports and eventually trailed into a lifestyle. They are now one of the most recognizable brands as they produce a wide range of staples for every occasion. 

Most recently, Kappa has released its Summer 2021 collection. Titled ‘Authentic Summer,’ the delivery sticks true to the brand’s heritage by shining a light on their signature Omini logo. Working alongside the motif, we also are introduced to new bold patterns that remind us of a tropical vacation. Kappa pays homage to summer sunsets on the beach and tropical getaways with bold colors and prints. A range of tees and shorts make their debut along with new iterations of the traditional tracksuit. Be prepared for the next beach or pool day with the Authentic Highgate Swim Shorts. Its bold imagery encompasses the shorts and reminds us of beach cities during sunset.
