Behind Maison Mihara Yasuhiro’s Peterson and Wayne

Sarah Harwell

Founded in Japan in 1997, Maison Mihara Yasuhiro’s unique designs are inspired by organic material, their chunky, wavy sole being their signature in their lineup of lace-up sneakers.

Known for their low-top sneakers and high-top sneakers, the original soles are made from a mold in a factory in France, which are developed by a sole specialist in Italy.

The Maison Mihara Yasuhiro Peterson 23 OG Sole Canvas Low is an iteration of the Peterson Low. Upper canvas production is made in Portugal using certified organic cotton from Spain.

Another new arrival, the Wayne Low OG Sole Leather Sneaker is a classic leather low silhouette with their premium-made soles. The insoles, counter heels, and interlining are made of eco-friendly and biodegradable material in Portugal.
