Air Jordan 3 'Animal Instinct 2.0' Releases 6/25
Marissa Villamor
The Air Jordan 3 was designed by iconic creator Tinker Hatfield and is arguably one of the most popular silhouettes in the Jordan Brand line-up. Originally released in 1988, it was the first Air Jordan to feature the iconic elephant print, visible Air units and Jumpman logo that is featured on most all Jordans to this date. It was also the first design that Hatfield made for Jordan.
Following the inaugural ‘Animal Instinct’ release in 2019, the 2.0 model swaps out its safari-inspired theme with a more reptile theme. The Air Jordan 3 ‘Animal Instinct 2.0’ features a mix of animal print from snakeskin, crocodile, ostrich leather and the iconic elephant print. The upper features primarily black crocodile leather with a black ostrich mudguard. The heel features Jordan’s signature elephant print in brown on the heel and green crocodile suede on the collar. Finishing details can be seen in red on the tongue liner and hits of yellow throughout the silhouette.
