Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is more than just a rapper. He is also an artist, designer, and one of the most influential characters in the industry. After a short stint with Nike, Ye officially joined Adidas in a fashion journey that offered him more creative freedom. His entrepreneurial mindset paired with his unique and keen eye for fashion has resulted in the continuously-mounting success of the Yeezy brand. After choosing an alternative route into the fashion world by focusing primarily on sneakers, Ye has consistently blurred the lines between music, fashion, art, and footwear for close to a decade. Yeezy has grown into a boundary-pushing footwear empire that is one of the most recognizable entities currently existing within the fashion market.

For the past few years, the Yeezy brand has gone through a tremendous transformation and shift that is aligning with pop culture. The fashion industry has experienced a shift where loungewear and more relaxed and minimalists have become the norm. Yeezy took this into consideration by introducing the Yeezy Slide in 2019. The first edition of this silhouette was teased as the ‘Yeezy Slipper’ while Ye wore the unique silhouette to a wedding in 2018. But since the silhouette’s introduction, a handful of colorways have been introduced to the world. These include Desert Sand, Bone, Resin, and now ‘Flax’ is being added to the rotation.

The Yeezy Slide ‘Flax’ features an EVA foam construction that offers lightweight durability with each step. The slip-on silhouette includes a soft top layer in the footbed, contributing to that comfortable component. Strategically-mapped grooves reside within the outsole for optimal support and traction.
